Skateboard lessons at the Greenwich Get Together festival

Skate school on the mini ramp at the Greenwich Get Together festival

We were invited along to the Greenwich Get Together festival by the Royal Borough of Greenwich on the 30th June to run skateboarding lessons on a mini ramp provided by kingramps.co.uk.

We were running lessons for festival goers in the Royal Arsenal site of the festival, just down by the river Thames. We ran an informal booking system, where participants could request time slots on a first come first serve basis, and would return later for their lesson.

After padding up, we started by teaching participants to ride along on a skateboard, and turn. Once they were comfortable with the basics we took them to the mini ramp and moved on to how to pump (generate speed), and a few brave souls even had a go at dropping in.

We also ran some open sessions later on, letting those who brought their own boards along to have a go. We had a few locals join and we put on a bit of a show.

We have run corporate events, festivals, hen parties and more. You can come to our venue in London, use your local skatepark, or we can bring the necessary to your venue.
