Two Weeks of Half-term Autumn Skate Camp!
Over the past two weeks, we wrapped up another incredible Skate Camp and honestly, this one felt special. From the very first morning warm-ups to the last game of dodgeball, the group brought energy, creativity, and a whole lot of progression to the park.
Skateboarding Progression + Big Confidence
Every day kicked off with guided sessions tailored to each skater’s level. Everyone pushed themselves to learn brand-new tricks kickturns, rock-to-fakies, shove-its, 50-50s and even a few first drop ins.
Hanging With Experienced Skaters
Throughout the camp, the crew had the chance to hang out with and learn from experienced skaters. They shared tips, demonstrated tricks, and offered the kind of encouragement that only comes from people who love skating. It created a supportive environment where campers felt safe to try, fail, try again, and eventually land it.
Griptape Art + Creative Sessions
It wasn’t all on the board. We also ran a griptape art workshops where we showed the skaters the basics to design and customise their own boards.
Alongside that, we set up free drawing sessions so everyone could wind down, sketch, and express themselves off the board too.
The Legendary Dodgeball Battles
And of course dodgeball. The classic camp tradition delivered once again. Fast, chaotic, hilarious, and a nice break for sore legs after the big day of skate sessions.
Daily Film Screens at Pick-Up
Parents got a front-row view of the progress too. Each afternoon at pick-up, we screened clips from the day’s session so everyone could see their skater’s improvements, attempts, bails, and breakthroughs. It became a little ritual, kids crowding around to point out their clips, parents seeing the stoke, and coaches getting to celebrate the effort behind every trick.
A Massive Thank You
To all the skaters: thank you for showing up, trying hard, cheering for each other, and making the park feel like the best kind of community. To the parents: thanks for trusting us, supporting the kids, and showing up every day with positivity. And to the coaches and skaters for their time and wisdom!
Already excited for the next one.
See you at the park! 🛹💥
