First Birthday of the Skatepark at Copelands

It’s our first birthday! To celebrate we’ve arranged a bunch of stuff for you:

Free 30 minute taster lessons

We’ll be providing 20 free taster lesson places at 11am. Please bring your friends, (ask them to pre-book).

Skate yoga from Slacker

We have been running some yoga sessions at Copelands over the last couple of months. We’re going to give you a free workshop at 12pm to find out what you’ve been missing.

Pro student board art workshops & fund raiser

This is the first of our exclusive workshops for progressing students. Please pre-book on the website. It costs £10.

We will have some amazing artists coming down to design some board art which we will auction for SkatePal, a non-profit organisation that uses skateboarding to empower and support young people in Palestine. The brief is for artists to create a design in their own style, and won’t follow any theme.

Our students will design their own skateboard, and will receive a deck & paints to reproduce their design on. They will take it home to skate. (There is no brief and students can design what they want).

Skate jam

From 3pm we will be having a skate jam with prizes. Support is provided by:

• Adidas Skateboarding
• Clown Skateboards
• Death Skateboards
• Liquid Death (don’t be scared, it’s only water)

DJs and bar

We’ll have skating, a bar and DJs going into the evening.
