New skateboard friendly pump track in Bexley

bexley pump track

Update 14.3.21

The pump track has still not opened due to the pandemic. Skateparks are due to reopen the 29th March. Assume it will also be the case for pump tracks.

Build of new skateboard pump track in Bexley due to complete on 14th December 2020.

Yes, something to look forward to after lockdown. We were as disappointed as you were to find out that that skateparks were due to close due to lockdown 2.0. but we are looking forward to a new facility in South London. The London Borough of Bexley are building a skateboard friendly pump track with the help of Access Sport in Martens Grove Park. We were stoked to hear it would be skateboard friendly as some of these facilities are built with dirt sections which means skateboards and other new fangled hard-wheeled contraptions (scooters) can’t be used on them.

I’m a big fan of pump tracks, they are so much fun to cruise around, and it’s the kind of riding which is easy to pick up, and pumping round on your skateboard is a great work out to boot. I have been going down to the one at Gillingham, so I’m going to be very happy to have one just up the A2 from Charlton.

Hi Stu, really interested in buying your private lesson gift package for my 8yo – can you answer a few questions? we live in Plumstead so where would you be able to offer it? How long will the voucher last for? Thanks!

Hi Charlotte, Charlton skatepark, in Charlton Park would be best. The lesson voucher has no expiry – this is skateboarding! Any other questions please don’t hesitate to drop me a line..

Is it actually open yet and is it free

Skateparks open 29th March David. It took Greenwich council a few days to take the fences away from Charlton Skatepark last time. Give it a few days. It is free yes.
